NOW RECRUITING!
Hi there!
The Skeleton Crew Gaming League is a friendly and inclusive PlayStation 3 gaming community, established with the aim of creating a social network where-in our members can practice and develop their gaming skills, both individually, and as part of a team.
Our League is fully international, and recruitment is now open for new members from all around the world!
Requirements.
Our League operates a strict non-discrimination policy. We will never reject an application based on ethnicity, or political, religious or philosophical views and beliefs. Nor do we (particularly) discriminate on the basis of skill. There are, however, certain requirements that potential recruits must meet before submitting an application to join:
1. You must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
2. You must own a working headset.
3. The primary and official language of our League is English. Both our forums, and all online verbal communication, are conducted in English. Whilst we at all times adhere to the non-discrimination policy as described above, this point is a necessary one to ensure effective communication is possible between all of our members. Please ensure that at least one of your languages (it does not necessarily have to be your first) is English.
Furthermore, our League also expects our members to display a mature, intelligent and respectful attitude at all times, both towards our own members, and on the PlayStation Network at large. We also expect our members to communicate with a degree of politeness and tolerance, again, at all times.
Finally, our League does not condone cheating or glitching in any shape or form what-so-ever, and operates a zero-tolerance policy in this regard. Any member found to be cheating or glitching will be summarily dismissed and banned from the League, where sufficient evidence is presented against them. In addition, our League does not condone hacking or boosting in any shape or form what-so-ever. Any member found to be modifying their account in this way will be summarily dismissed from the League, where sufficient evidence is presented against them.
Any recruit found to be in violation of any of these regulations will have their application rejected.
Gaming with us.
At the time of publication (04/06/2010), our League currently supports the following games:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Red Dead Redemption
However, as the League continues to grow, we will be constantly expanding the games that we support. If you do not regularly play one of the above listed games at present, but are still interested in joining the League, then please do still submit an application to join. We will keep it on record, and contact you the minute a relevant Legion is formed.
Our League operates on 3 staged levels of participation, in order to accommodate members in a variety of real life situations, and to accommodate of variety of perspectives on just what our members want to get out of their gaming community. We do not believe any individual should be prevented in joining a game community based on their personal circumstances and available free time, or on how casually or seriously they take their gaming. Our 3 staged levels of participation are designed to cater from the novice to the professional. They are structured as follows:
- Level 1: No weekly requirements. Casual participation only as determined by the members personal circumstances and choice (Certain forum access / privileges are reduced at this level).
- Level 2: Attendance at one mandatory Crew practice weekly is expected. (A facility for notifying your Crew Leader of any anticipated absence is provided and expected to be used in such circumstances). Possibility of participation in lower level tournaments as determined by your Crew leader's assessment.
- Level 3: Attendance at two mandatory Crew practice weekly is expected. (A facility for notifying your Crew Leader of any anticipated absence is provided and expected to be used in such circumstances). Participation in higher level (including GB - Gamebattles) tournaments, which Level 3 members are expected to make themselves available for.
Membership in a particular level as determined by your application, is not fixed. We know that members' circumstances and perspectives change, and we provide a facility for any member to request they be moved up or down a level, temporarily or permanently.
